World Famous Scholar and Space Expert Joins the Acamar Team

Internationally acclaimed expert on space strategies and space warfare, Paul Szymanski has joined the Acamar team as a contributor and independent consultant. Paul Szymanski has more than 40 years of experience in all fields related to space control, to include policy, strategy, simulations, Space Domain Awareness, survivability, resiliency, threat assessment, long-range strategic planning, and command and control. In the past, he has worked directly with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps as well as civilian agencies such as NASA, DARPA, and FEMA.  His contributions range from working for the Air Staff at the Pentagon (Secretary of the Air Force) to systems development at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in Los Angeles, technology development at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) in Albuquerque, New Mexico and operational field testing at the China Lake Naval Test Center, California. Through this vast experience, he has a unique perspective and understanding of all the divergent issues associated with each step of procurement processes. In addition, Paul Szymanski supported the NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Group and has worked in covert space weapons programs (non-NRO) for 27 years, developing new concepts, analyses, and simulations while managing technical programs critical to national U.S. security. He has administered or participated in multiple architecture studies that provided senior decision-makers with long-term strategic planning road maps to be briefed to the Secretary of the Air Force, Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congress, and the National Security Council.

Paul is also the founder of the Space Strategies Center. His works have been featured in the Strategic Studies Quarterly of the Air University of the U.S. Air Force and he has been a frequent speaker at international conferences and exhibitions on satellite and space missions throughout the world. Paul also developed and manages a private space strategy-related discussion group of specially hand-picked members. The membership of this group consists of more than a thousand General Officers and Admirals from the United States and allied nations, over 50 current and former Under/Assistant Secretaries of Defense (including one former Secretary of Defense), Congressional House and Senate staffers, members of White House and National Security Council staffs, diplomats, as well as 47 astronauts, among others.

With the recent growing interest in space warfare, he is working with a major book publisher, at their request, to write a book introducing the new and emerging challenges to the field of security studies and which could serve as the foundation for modern space warfare planning and strategies.

Paul Szymanski is available for lectures, seminars, workshops, and executive consulting.
